Adaptive Spectral Carriers: Time Ordering, Reciprocal Memory, and Linked Coherent–Dissipative Response

How can coherent and dissipative responses remain linked when their shared spectral carrier changes through feedback with the system itself? This paper develops a finite-dimensional adaptive realization of the Canonical Spectral-Curvature Field (CSCF) within Shadow Theory’s source-to-readout architecture. A single coercive energy generates coupled complex-amplitude and real-memory dynamics. The resulting carrier evolves self-consistently: amplitude contrasts change memory, and memory changes the interaction strengths governing subsequent evolution. The paper proves global well-posedness, an exact energy-dissipation identity, exponential amplitude decay and memory relaxation. It establishes an exact interaction-picture representation and a gap-free commutator bound quantifying the failure of static coherent–dissipative factorization. Ordered pulses and a moving but commuting symmetry control distinguish the effects of time ordering from carrier evolution alone. The complete feedback response contains additional amplitude–memory couplings, an initial-memory contribution and a causal history kernel. Exact counterexamples show why conditional amplitude contraction does not imply contraction of the full feedback tangent. A separate derivation identifies the connection term required when the mobility metric changes. A calibrated operator-response test links the theory to observable discrimination. Explicit reconstruction, noise and calibration bounds specify when the linked model can be distinguished from an alternative preserving coherent eigenvalues while rotating eigenvectors. Synthetic calculations, independent numerical formulations and exact fixtures verify the stated finite constructions. This study extends CSCF from fixed carriers to adaptive dynamics under explicit constitutive assumptions. It identifies the conditions under which linked responses survive adaptation and the preparation and measurement resources needed to test them. Physical implementation, driven sustained organization and continuum extensions are identified as subsequent research directions. Abstract

The accompanying public verification package contains executable code, deterministic specifications, retained numerical outputs, figure and table generation, integrity checks, regression tests and reproduction instructions.
