Building confidence in innovative vaccine technologies: how flexible, science-based USP standards help translate vaccine innovation into quality, consistency, and public trust
Vaccine science is evolving at an unprecedented pace. New manufacturing and analytical technologies, emerging platforms such as mRNA and viral vectors, and personalized immunotherapies are transforming how vaccines are designed, evaluated, and delivered. From a quality and scientific perspective, what does this evolution mean for vaccine development? In this article, members of USP and the Biologics 3 Expert Committee (BIO3) respond to questions from Vaccine Insights editorial advisory board member Cristiana Campa, who also serves on BIO3, about the committee’s work to support vaccine innovation.
