Zuck Bucks: California Public Commons Funding Simulation
This companion research paper develops a hypothetical California public-commons funding simulation. It examines sovereign funding, scientific verification, economic impact, public accountability and the proposed ROIC∇ measurement method within the broader M5Labs research program. The simulation explores how an authorized investment could be traced through execution and examined outcomes while retaining human control and applicable rights. No funds are represented as received, appropriated, committed or disbursed. Within the wider M5Labs research program, iWBE (Intelligent Women Business Enterprise) and iSWE (Intelligent Society of Women Engineers) are initiatives defined within the M5Labs research framework. They propose an AI- and blockchain-powered approach to accelerating the participation of women-owned and women-led enterprises, women engineers and women scientists in business, scientific research and economic opportunity. Through human-directed AI agents, scientific calculators and accountable research infrastructure, the initiatives aim to help participants develop capabilities, build enterprises and retain control of their work and applicable intellectual-property rights. iSWE is an independently defined initiative and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). The accompanying M5Labs Technical Verification Appendix provides supporting technical context. Research status, assumptions, methods, governance and limitations are stated in the manuscript.
