Badolian Theory for advancing communication for climate change resilience

Communication is an essential aspect of climate change resilience building. It is a key solution forgenerating the dynamics required for the successful implementation of climate change resiliencepolicies. In practice, the design of relevant and efficient communication initiatives that contributeto achieving climate change resilience objectives requires robust and specific scientific tools. Theyinclude theoretical models for establishing information bodies that govern communicationactivities regarding various aspects of climate change resilience. In this article, we propose the Badolian CresComProspect theory for advancing communication forclimate change resilience. Its approaches, concepts, tools and methodologies are specificallyindicated for generating information bodies that guide multidimensional, relevant and efficientcommunication initiatives, addressing key aspects of climate change resilience. Families of climatechange impacts, climate change vulnerability factors, climate change resilience solutions, solutionsfor integrating gender and climate resilience scheme constitute the main information bodies of theCresComProspect theory. The Badolian CresComProspect theory is a new contribution to the theoretical foundations ofcommunication for climate change resilience. It is a specific tool for advancing the design, planningand management of effective communication initiatives that generate contextual dynamics forachieving climate change resilience objectives.
