Food Processing and FMCG Industry of India 2027

Research and news about Indian food processing and FMCG grew faster than research and news in general; household searching rose and funding rounds fell since 2022. Activity is concentrated in a few places and firms. Failed checks are reported as failed. This paper compares how Indian food processing and FMCG appears in research, news, search, company registers, funding announcements, app stores and patents, 2017-2026, within each source's time window. Food processing and FMCG here covers packaged food and beverages, dairy and edible-oil processing, snacks and bakery, plant-based and nutrition products, and personal-care goods such as soap, shampoo and toothpaste. Restaurants, grocery delivery, alcohol, tobacco and farming are left out. Layer 1 gives exact counts under stated rules. Layer 2 reads sentences with fixed word templates, checked by an automated second reader (a small computer model, not a person).
