Smart Tourism: Connecting Kalapagenep to The World

Kalapagenep Village, Cikalong District, Tasikmalaya Regency, has coastal tourism potential in the form of Cibeureum Beach with its beautiful sunrise and sunset, as well as local products such as coconut sugar and broomsticks. However, this potential has not been optimally developed due to limited facilities, a weak area identity, cleanliness conditions that need improvement, and minimal utilization of digital technology. The International Community Service Program (KKN) III BKS – PTN West 2026 Group 12 was conducted in Kampung Cipangasih, Desa Kalapagenep using participatory and collaborative methods with village officials, Pokdarwis, and the community, through stages of observation, discussion and coordination, planning, and program implementation. The results of the activities show an increase in the identity and attractiveness of Cibeureum Beach, children's motivation for learning and religious activities, support for public health services, and the cleanliness of the coastal environment. The obstacles faced include limited mobilization, learning facilities, healthcare personnel, and community concern for cleanliness, which were addressed through coordination, optimization of existing resources, and direct education to the community. This activity is expected to be sustainable through increased community participation and coordination between students, village officials, and the community.
