ENTROPY ANALYSIS OF MIXED CONVECTIVE MHD CASSON FLUID FLOW PAST AN INFINITE VERTICAL PLATE WITH HEAT ABSORPTION AND CHEMICAL REACTION

In this study, the unsteady mixed convection magnetohydrodynamics Casson fluid flowing through an infinite vertical plate subjected to heat absorption, chemical reaction, and exponential acceleration has been analyzed. In this case, Laplace transformation methodology is used to obtain analytic answers to the nondimensionalized coupled equations for the governing profiles. The effect of the dimensionless governing parameters has been studied by determining the graphical outputs for the flow velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles. Additionally, thermal and fluid friction irreversibility's have been considered while analyzing the thermodynamic irreversibility by the entropy generation number, and the respective irreversibility dominance ratio is determined by the Bejan number. The results indicate that although the buoyancy forces due to heat and mass increase the velocity profile, the magnetic force and rheological effects suppress the fluid motion. The chemical parameter reduces the concentration profile and the thermodynamic irreversibility associated with it, whereas the heat absorption enhances the temperature profile. Entropy generation is found to be maximum close to the plate and minimum as we move towards the free stream region. In this study, properties of MHD unsteady Casson fluid flowing in an exponentially moving vertical plate have been made clear.
