IMPLICAÇÕES DO PERFECCIONISMO NA ATIVAÇÃO COMPORTAMENTAL DE PACIENTE DEPRESSIVO: UM ESTUDO DE CASO
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is among the approaches that demonstrate greater evolution in the treatment of various psychopathologies, such as Persistent Depressive Disorder. Because it has an important psychoeducational basis, TCC offers patients the benefit of learning to identify cognitive and behavioral patterns, allowing gradual and lasting changes, making them more autonomous and cognitive quality of life. When a person is depressed, a commonly observed symptom is the reduction of activities, often confident for the maintenance of low mood. Thus, behavioral activation appears to manage avoidance, which often contributes to maintaining a low mood, focusing on techniques already in the initial sessions, such as scheduling activities. Thus, the present case study aimed to discuss how the therapist can lead the subject to behavioral activation, a technique used in the initial phase of treatment, when perfectionism occurs. In the therapeutic process of a 26-year-old patient with persistent depressive disorder and perfectionism traits aligned with disability schemas, behavioral motivation could be worked on. In this way, it was possible to modify cognitive and behavioral patterns that affected how the patient felt, ensuring greater functionality and quality of life.
