Pengadaan Rangka Bangun dan Sistem Kontrol Air Cooler Heat Exchanger di Lapangan Gas Blok A

The development of the IDI Gas Field in Block A, operated by PT Medco E&P Malaka in East Aceh, faces significant technical challenges due to sour gas reservoir conditions containing high concentrations of H₂S (12,000–16,000 ppm) and CO₂ (27.5%). These corrosive and hazardous conditions require robust engineering solutions to ensure safe and reliable operations. Gas produced from the AS-15 reservoir reaches temperatures of up to 290°F and must be cooled before entering downstream facilities to minimize thermal expansion effects and enable the use of more economical piping materials. This study evaluates the procurement and design verification of the Air Cooler Heat Exchanger (ACHE) package installed at the AS-15 wellpad through a qualitative-descriptive analysis of technical documents, including process design data, HTRI thermal calculations, and mechanical design assessments.
