Baetis catharus Thomas 1986
Baetis catharus Thomas, 1986 TAXO-2022. This species is present in the Pyrenees, the southern slope of the Massif central, and Galicia (Bauernfeind and Soldán 2012). We provide here the first sequence for this species (PP 387905), which places B. catharus as a valid species within the alpinus group (sensu Muller-Liebenau 1969). TAXO-70’s. This species was described in 1986, thus could not be identified in the 70 ’ s but was sampled in 1965 on the Estaragne stream (Thomas 1986). Baetis individuals collected in the 70 ’ s might thus include B. catharus.
