TRANSFORMING KNOWLEDGE CREATION TO WEALTH: LEVERAGING GENERATIVE ADVERSARIAL NETWORKS ALGORITHM FOR ACHIEVING WEALTH CREATION AMONG INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION STUDENTS IN RIVERS STATE

The study examined opinion of respondents on transforming knowledge creation to wealth: leveraging Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) algorithm in Industrial Technology Education for achieving wealth creation. The study was carried out in technical colleges in Rivers State, Nigeria. Descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The population consists of 52 technical college teachers from four Rivers State owned technical colleges. The entire population was used for the study because it was manageable. Three research question guided the study. A validated questionnaire consisting of 24 items which was structured in four (4) scale point rating of Very High Extent (VHE), High Extent (VH), Low Extent (LE) and Very Low Extent (VLE) with numerical values of 4, 3, 2 and 1 respectively assigned was used for data collection. Data obtained was analyzed using mean statistic. Items with a mean rating of 2.50 and above were regarded as Agree while items below 2.50 were regarded as Disagree. The results showed that leveraging GANs such as Style GAN, Progressive Growing GAN and Deep Convolutional GAN in ITE enhances transformation of knowledge creation to wealth. Training and retraining of ITE teachers on utilization of GAN and provision of AI enabling facilities were among the recommendations made
