FORMATION OF AN ENTERPRISE BUSINESS RISK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM BASED ON THE APPLICATION OF THE INTERNET OF THINGS

The article examines the development of an enterprise business risk management system based on the application of the Internet of Things. It is substantiated that enterprises face a set of interconnected deviations arising in physical and digital processes, which may affect different areas of their operations. The Internet of Things is considered not merely as a collection of technical devices but as an information framework for collecting, transmitting, and initially processing data required for managerial decision-making. The study aims to develop a system that transforms technological signals into substantiated response measures. A matrixfractal approach to business risk management is proposed. Its matrix component establishes relationships among business processes, risk types, data sources, control parameters, and managerial actions. Fractal logic makes it possible to identify recurring deviations and trace their propagation from a local technical failure to operational disruptions and financial losses. The sequence of system operation is developed, encompassing risk identification, assessment, prioritization, selection of response measures, performance monitoring, and adaptive adjustment of parameters. The use of data obtained from sensors, trackers, scanners, industrial controllers, and digital platforms is examined. Based on publicly available data from enterprises in the logistics, agro-industrial, and transport sectors, the possibility of adapting the proposed system to different industries is demonstrated. It is established that its practical implementation requires information discipline, data reliability verification, distribution of responsibilities among technical, operational, and financial departments, as well as an appropriate level of cybersecurity. The proposed approach contributes to the early detection of threats, shorter response times, reduced managerial uncertainty, and the substantiation of measures aimed at minimizing enterprises’ economic losses.
