Three Orbits of Steady State: The Price of the Quiet-Galaxy Assumption in the SPARC Λ Bound
Prices the steady-state assumption in Benisty et al. (2405.16650): at the radii driving the Lambda bound a star completes only ~3 orbits (50 kpc) to ~1 (100 kpc) in a galaxy age; imposing a 10-orbit steady-state cut loosens the bound by a factor ~11 via the paper's own inverse-cube scaling.
