Digital Literacy Education Through the Use of the Byond By BSI Application to Improve Understanding of Sharia Finance among the Sukabumi City Community

Low levels of Islamic financial literacy remain a challenge in supporting the optimization of digital banking services in Indonesia. This condition has prevented the public from optimally utilizing Islamic digital banking services, including the BYOND by BSI application. This community service activity aims to improve the understanding of Islamic financial literacy in Sukabumi City residents through digital education and assistance in using the BYOND by BSI application. The target group includes members of the healthcare worker group and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The implementation method consisted of needs assessment, counseling, demonstrations of application features, practical assistance, and evaluation through discussions and observations of participant understanding. The results of the activity showed that participants had a better understanding of the basic principles of Islamic finance, were able to differentiate between Islamic and conventional banking products, understood the use of the main features of the BYOND by BSI application, and were more aware of the importance of security in digital transactions. The educational approach combined with hands-on practice has proven effective in improving Islamic financial literacy in the community and encouraging more optimal use of Islamic digital banking services.
