Leuctra rauscheri Aubert 1957

Leuctra rauscheri Aubert, 1957 TAXO-2022. L. rauscheri is an orophilous species with a wide central European distribution (Vinçon and Ravizza 2001). Imagos of both sexes captured in Estaragne are morphologically similar to those in the western Alps, but the molecular results in NCBI Blast, with sequences PP 348497 and PP 348498, reveal a different haplotype compared to the other known populations from Alps and Jura mountains recorded in the databases (query cover of 100 % with 96.96 % identity). Furthermore, this molecular separation of Pyrenean individuals has already been demonstrated in a broader phylogenetic analysis of the Leuctra inermis group sensu Ravizza (2002), supported by three other molecular markers (Vitecek et al. 2017). Further studies are thus needed to clarify the taxonomic status of the Pyrenean individuals.
