Trokos special tests library
A free online library of published diagnostic accuracy figures for 132 musculoskeletal special tests (133 test pages, because Spurling's test has a neck page and a shoulder page) across nine body regions (shoulder and upper arm; elbow and forearm; wrist and hand; neck; mid-back and ribs; low back and pelvis; hip, groin and thigh; knee; foot, ankle and calf). Each test page gives the published sensitivity, specificity and likelihood ratios where they exist, either as reported by the cited study or calculated from it (the page says which); where no figures can be relied on, the page says why. Each page also explains how the test is done and gives the full reference with a link to the study. Most pages have a Study details panel (patients studied, setting, what the test was compared against, 95% confidence intervals), and many say how well two examiners agree, where this has been published. Each figure is checked against its source study, in a separate check, wherever the full paper can be obtained; where only the abstract could be checked, or a figure has not yet been checked against the full paper, the page says so. The pages were drafted with AI assistance. Written for registered health practitioners and students as a teaching and reference aid; not clinical advice. The figures describe groups of patients in the cited studies, not an individual patient. This record describes the library as it stood on 4 November 2026; the attached PDF lists every test page in this version. The live, updated library is at https://trokos.com.au/tests/ and corrections are listed at https://trokos.com.au/corrections/. To cite a figure, cite the study it comes from (given on each test page); to cite the library as a whole, use this record's DOI.
