In this article, the theoretical and methodological basis for assessing and analyzing the indicators of the state of production of enterprises of the food industry is studied. During the study, the main economic indicators that represent the state of production, including the volume of production, the level of use of production capacity, labor productivity, fund return, the cost of products and the economic content of profitability indicators, as well as their correlation, were studied. On the example of the food industry of the kashkadarya region, production indicators for 2020-2025 were analyzed. In the process of Analysis, Trends in the dynamics of the volume of production of products, the level of use of production capacities and the change in indicators of economic efficiency are identified. Based on the results of the study, scientifically based proposals and recommendations were developed on the introduction of a complex mechanism for assessing the state of production at enterprises of the food industry, digitization of production processes, widespread use of modern technologies, increased labor productivity and effective use of resources
