PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN EKONOMI BERBASIS GOOGLE SITES DENGAN PENDEKATAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING: KELAYAKAN DAN KEEFEKTIFANNYA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X

Economics learning in Grade X at SMA Negeri 10 Medan relied on monotonous presentation media, and only 44.8% of students (113 of 252) met the mastery criterion. This research and development study aimed to determine the feasibility and the effectiveness, in terms of learning outcomes, of a Google Sites-based learning medium integrated with Project Based Learning (PjBL) on the topic of Payment Systems, using the ADDIE model. Feasibility was assessed by a subject-matter expert, a media expert, an instructional design expert, and a teacher, followed by individual (n = 3), small-group (n = 6), and field (n = 36) trials. Effectiveness was tested with a pretest–posttest design involving an experimental class (PjBL with Google Sites) and a control class (Problem Based Learning with PowerPoint), each with 36 students. The medium was rated very feasible (experts’ mean 90.3%; teacher 95.8%; student responses 90.8–96.2%). Posttest scores of the experimental class (86.25) were significantly higher than those of the control class (79.58) (t = −3.438; p = 0.001), with N-Gain of 74.30% (high) versus 62.13% (moderate). The medium is feasible and effective within PjBL instruction; the findings reflect the combined package, not the isolated contribution of Google Sites.
