Transgression branes in seven dimensions

A seven dimensional theory with branes, described by a Transgression Action is investigated. The theory has special properties owing to the factorization of the trace used to define the Transgression form. It is shown that in some cases the theory is similar to the models of branes proposed by Nepomechie, Wu and Zee as a higher dimensional generalization of models of particles with fractional statistics of Wilczek, Wu and Zee. Static Euclidean solutions are presented, and compared with similar solutions of Nepomechie,Wu and Zee. Then Lorentzian static solutions are considered, based in solutions of constant curvature black holes presented by Bañados and further studied by Guilleminot, Olea and Petrov. Topological phases and their implications for quantum statistics are discussed.
