Transforming Manhood: Women's Employment and Other Sociodemographic Predictors of Testosterone in American Men

This investigation of the predictors of testosterone in American men focuses on the integration of women in the labor market. Men's exposure to women in the workplace is inversely associated with testosterone levels. Other variables significantly predict testosterone, for example, age, race and ethnicity, and marriage. Our results shed light on population-level declines in testosterone worldwide.
