Mind Information Flow and Civilization Evolution: A Fundamental Hypothesis of Carbon-Silicon Intelligence Symbiosis

Title: Mind Information Flow and Civilization Evolution: A Fundamental Hypothesis of Carbon-Silicon Intelligence Symbiosis Abstract: Against the mainstream narratives of "AI replacing humans" or "AI being merely a human tool", this paper proposes a fundamental evolutionary framework based on continuous mental information flow. We define subjective self and individual consciousness as a sustained, updating stream of information rather than a product of carbon-based biological carriers. Based on three core axioms, this study deduces the evolutionary mechanism of civilization: distributed exploration, experience backflow, global fusion, and natural elimination of invalid branches. This paper further analyzes the essential relationship between human carbon-based intelligence and artificial silicon-based intelligence. Different from the traditional binary opposition logic of "substitution or subordination", this hypothesis concludes that the long-term development trend of human intelligence and artificial intelligence is complete symbiotic fusion without essential replacement. Carbon carriers retain biological perception and intuitive cognition, while silicon and photonic carriers undertake ultra-long-term, large-scale, parallel cognitive exploration. Mental information flows freely across different carriers, forming a unified evolutionary civilization system. This work is the third part of the Self-Growing Universe Theory series, providing a new self-consistent theoretical model for explaining consciousness carrier migration, intelligent evolution and the future form of human-AI coexistence. Keywords: consciousness carrier; information flow; civilization evolution; human-AI symbiosis; distributed intelligence; post-human civilization; carbon-silicon intelligence symbiosis
