Strategi Penguatan Keluarga Pascareunifikasi Anak: Studi Kualitatif pada LKSA Nugraha Kota Bandung

Child reunification is not merely the process of returning children from alternative care to their families but requires continuous efforts to ensure that families are capable of maintaining adequate caregiving functions. This study aims to analyze the family-strengthening strategies implemented by the Nugraha Child Welfare Institution (Lembaga Kesejahteraan Sosial Anak/LKSA) Bandung City after child reunification and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving five purposively selected informants consisting of LKSA administrators, social workers, and reunified families. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion verification, while data credibility was ensured through source and methodological triangulation. The findings indicate that family strengthening at LKSA Nugraha is implemented through an integrated process consisting of family assessment, post-reunification assistance, parenting capacity strengthening, monitoring, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. These strategies demonstrate that reunification is understood as a continuous process requiring family adaptation and institutional support. The implementation is supported by the commitment of social workers, institutional involvement, and family participation, while challenges remain in the form of economic limitations, variations in family caregiving capacity, and restricted social support networks. This study highlights the importance of post-reunification family strengthening services as part of sustainable child protection practices.
