“Eu prefiro jogar molotov”
In this study, based on interviews conducted with trans activists in Brazil during my doctoral research, I address issues related to the construction of trans identities, their corporealities, as well as their political activism (with its demands and challenges), emphasizing the latent potential for subversion and resistance. The potentialities of this research are linked to the accounts of the interviewees, who, through their own voices and personal and activist experiences, bring to light debates that are so important to gender and LGBTI+ studies. Thus, in dialogue with queer theories, I offer reflections based on these diverse narratives, highlighting concerns and fundamental issues facing Brazilian trans movements today.
