TRACTOGRAPHY-BASED FUNCTIONAL RISK STRATIFICATION AND SURGICAL OUTCOMES IN CHILDREN WITH SUBCORTICAL INTRACEREBRAL TUMOURS
Postoperative neurological deficit remains a major concern in the surgery of paediatric intracerebral tumours adjacent to white matter pathways. Diffusion MRI tractography has been shown to reduce the risk of postoperative deficits [1], and classifications of tumour–tract interaction have been proposed for adults with gliomas [2]. However, a validated tractography-based risk scale for children with subcortical tumours is lacking.
