The Unmysterious Cold Spot

Across all the cosmological literature published on the Cold Spot since its discovery in WMAP data and its subsequent confirmation by Planck, our theory is the only one that simultaneously predicts both its compensated angular shape and its exact amplitude in microkelvins—based solely on spectroscopic data from the Eridanus region, and without any parameters tuned to the CMB map itself. Using the three robust low-redshift underdensities of the 2CSz spectroscopic survey toward Eridanus and constitutive constants fixed elsewhere in the Relativity of Matter (RM) framework, two additive late-time channels are separated: 1. Conservative Dynamic-Weyl / Linear ISW Channel: A first-order frequency drift d ln ν / dT = −∂_T(Φ + Ψ) in sign-safe weak-field variables reproduces the standard linear Integrated Sachs–Wolfe (ISW) benchmark of the same structures (−9.12 μK central decrement; spherical Mexican-hat wavelet coefficients W_5^Weyl = −0.572 μK and W_7.25^Weyl = −0.970 μK) and is subdominant. 2. Coherent Blackbody-Preserving Dissipative Transfer: Governed by an incomplete-relaxation equation of small Damköhler depth (Da ~ 10^-4) that weights each density sheet by aH. Its blind two-scale shape prediction R_W = W_7.25 / W_5 = 1.203 matches the Planck residual (1.209), while minimal quadratic source templates (−δ_m^2, −|∇δ_m|^2, −Θ(−δ_m)δ_m^2) are excluded by a frozen control-field test on GAMA G23. 3. Parameter-Free Cauchy–Schwarz Upper Bound: We prove that a bounded elastic memory carrier has zero DC mobility in a stationary background (H = 0) and responds to slow cosmological driving with a suppression factor H τ_R ~ 10^-15. Canonical Jacobian gauge invariance on the physical logarithmic volume (M_eff = K_S = (4/9) B_0, Case C: K_S/C = 14/87) and zeroth-order background linear response on the homogeneous zero-mode sector (s = H, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.23915500) uniquely fix the dimensionless relaxation rate to ε_κ = κ/H = P_γR (14/87) m_R, where P_γR is a normalized Kubo cross-correlation. Because |P_γR| <= 1 by the Cauchy–Schwarz inequality, the framework yields a parameter-free upper bound on the total late-time wavelet coefficients: |W_5^tot| <= 19.62 (+5.19 / −4.42) μK |W_7.25^tot| <= 23.89 (+5.90 / −5.52) μK(1σ uncertainty propagated from 50,000 Monte-Carlo realizations of the 2CSz structural parameters), with two-scale ratio R_W^tot = 1.2175 at saturation. The archived Planck SMICA and HFI 100, 143, and 217 GHz coefficients lie at 98%–108% of the central bound (within 0.4σ of the upstream structural uncertainty), and the measured ratio (≃ 1.222) matches the external-density shape (1.203 for the dissipative template). Seven falsifiability gates—including predicted inner-disc decrements of −301 μK (within 2°) and −152 μK (within 5°)—are established.
