CLUSTER ANALYSIS OF COTTON LINE TT-4 (CULTIVAR SP-04) BASED ON MEAN MAIN STEM HEIGHT AND WITHIN-SAMPLE VARIABILITY
The collected data for 80 samples of cotton line TT-4 were used to compare clustering based on mean main stem height and the coefficient of variation of this trait. Each parameter was separately to identify eight clusters using Ward's method. Samples with identical mean heights exhibited different levels of within-sample variability. The findings support the combined use of the mean and coefficient of variation for preliminary selection of samples with the target trait level and high phenotypic uniformity.
