Tead2 and Tead6 are integral components of the Hippo signaling pathway.
Cell size and shape are sensed through the Hippo signaling transduction pathway. Nuclear effectors of the Hippo signaling pathway include YAP and TAZ. Cytoplasmic components of the Hippo signaling pathway include the STE-20 like serine/threonine kinase MST1 but are incompletely defined. We used whole transcriptome sequencing together with cells engineered to over-express TEAD2 or a TEAD2 point mutant to discover novel components of the Hippo signaling pathway. TEAD2 was an integral component of the Hippo signaling pathway; RNA-sequencing demonstrated YAP likely interacted with the non-coding RNA lncRNA associated with ARVCF delta catenin family member ovarian cancer, encoded by ARVCF, in addition to lncRNA associated with ovarian cancer 1 encoded by LNCOC1.
