Methodology of Technical Analysis in Corporate GR: Prerequisites and Rationale for the Application of Methods for Studying Patterns of Economic Behavior

The purpose of the article is to provide a theoretical and applied justification for the adoption of subsequent technical analysis of the stock market in the field of corporate government operations as a tool for primary diagnostics of industry differences, identifying leadership zones, homogeneity, polarization and managerial lag, identifying typical figures in the industry GR landscape, and formulating research hypotheses. This article presents a proprietary methodology for effectively assessing the results of a GR-rating of Russian companies without state participation, developed by the Russian consulting firm GRT Consulting (Moscow) since 2022. This methodology is based on a visual-pattern approach and time-series technical analysis techniques traditionally used in the financial market. The researchers assume that the digital projection of a GR rating, in which company indicators are rated in the coordinates of “GR function maturity – business scale,” creates a special class of management data that allows for the visual-heuristic recognition of stable configurations of economic behavior patterns. It shows that borrowing terminology and approaches from stock market technical analysis is not simply a mechanical transfer. The authors clarify the limits of the method’s applicability, its heuristic status, and its place in relation to statistical analysis. The scientific novelty of this work lies in substantiating the feasibility of using a visual-pattern approach to analyze business-government interaction strategies and defining the methodological conditions for its correct application within the national school of corporate GR.
