Crafting Collaboration

This article reflects on the long-running transdisciplinary collaboration between ceramicist Diana Butucariu and musician Erik Lindeborg, tracing their evolving practice from pop-up events to situated works that engage with sustainability, heritage, and place. Collaboration emerges as a process of mutual orientation, developed under conditions of precarity. Past work is reanimated as a research archive, ultimately leading to renewal in the present through the act of writing. It mirrors the collaboration itself—an unfolding of space for interdependency within systems arranged against it, using careful maintenance as method, and sustainability—not as subject, but form. The text describes collaboration as the crafting of a shared voice and lets that voice speak for itself.
