SISTEMA WEB DE APOYO AL SEGUIMIENTO EMOCIONAL DE ESTUDIANTES DE NIVEL SUPERIOR

In-person psychological support creates a time gap between sessions that can hinder the monitoring of a patient's emotional state. This article presents the development and preliminary functional validation of a web-based system designed to support emotional monitoring between therapeutic sessions, built using an incremental methodology with Laravel, PHP, and MySQL. The platform integrates user management, emotion logging, the administration of assessment tools, and report generation. To evaluate the assessment module, an institutional academic stress inventory—based on dimensions from the SISCO instruments—was implemented and administered to a convenience sample of 130 university students. The results showed Cronbach’s alpha values ranging from .823 to .846, as well as significant differences in symptoms based on gender and in stressors based on the academic term. Additionally, a positive correlation was observed between stress intensity and symptoms. These findings provide preliminary evidence regarding the technical feasibility and internal consistency of the data obtained via the platform; however, they do not constitute evidence of therapeutic efficacy or the clinical validity of the instrument—aspects that require further study involving clinical populations and controlled designs.
