EVALUACIÓN DE LA EXPERIENCIA COIL EN EL DESARROLLO DE COMPETENCIAS INTERCULTURALES Y TRABAJO COLABORATIVO

This study aimed to evaluate the impact of the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) methodology on the perceived development of intercultural skills, teamwork, and virtual communication among students pursuing a degree in International Business at the Autonomous University of Guerrero. For this purpose, a quantitative-descriptive, cross-sectional approach was employed, administering a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale to a sample of 47 participants. The results highlight a highly positive rating in peer assessment (M = 4.43), individual performance (M = 4.27), and teamwork (M = 4.21). Additionally, language differences and schedule coordination were identified as the main obstacles faced when carrying out team activities. It is concluded that the COIL methodology constitutes an innovative and effective pedagogical strategy to promote curriculum internationalization and foster key global skills for the professional profile in interconnected virtual environments.
