Martabat Manusia di Era Digital: Interpretasi Ajaran Sosial Gereja terhadap Dampak Kecerdasan Buatan dalam Pendidikan

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed the educational landscape through personalized learning, automated assessment, and expanded access to information; however, it has simultaneously raised ethical issues such as cognitive dependency, the erosion of academic integrity, algorithmic bias, digital attachment, and the weakening of pedagogical relationships. This study aims to analyze the impact of AI on human dignity in education and to outline the direction of its application based on the perspective of Catholic Social Teaching. A qualitative library research method was employed, utilizing content analysis and a critical-hermeneutic approach to examine documents from the Catholic Church's Magisterium and reputable scholarly journals. The findings indicate that the application of AI risks reducing learners to mere computational data and eroding their moral autonomy. The principles of human dignity (Imago Dei), the common good (bonum commune), subsidiarity, solidarity, and social justice prove relevant as an interpretive framework for positioning AI as an instrumental tool that serves integral human development.
