Analisis Determinan Tekanan Darah Tinggi pada Anak Usia Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Semarang Tahun 2025
Background: The increasing prevalence of high blood pressure among youth has become a serious public health challenge driven by behavioral determinants. Objective: To analyze various lifestyle and demographic risk factors associated with high blood pressure. Methods: This cross-sectional quantitative study involved 600 student respondents, analyzed using Pearson correlation. Results: High blood pressure was highly significantly correlated with poor physical fitness (r=0.212; p=0.000), overnutrition (r=0.202; p=0.000), and lack of physical activity (r=0.193; p=0.000). Smoking behavior also exerted a highly significant impact through secondhand smoke exposure (r=0.119; p=0.004), number of cigarettes (r=0.112; p=0.006), and student smoking status (r=0.111; p=0.006). Mental health issues showed a significant correlation (r=0.085; p=0.037), while demographic factors such as school region (p=0.946) and gender (p>0.05) were not significant. Conclusion: The risk of high blood pressure in this population is universal and predominantly driven by modifiable behavioral factors. Physical fitness interventions, nutritional surveillance, and strict enforcement of Smoke-Free Zones in schools are highly recommended.
