STRATEGIES FOR MANAGING PICKY EATING IN CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER IMPLEMENTED BY FAMILY MEMBERS AND CAREGIVERS IN THE HOME ENVIRONMENT: A SCOPE REVIEW PROTOCOL.

This scoping review aims to map and describe strategies used by family members and non-professional caregivers in the home environment to manage picky eating in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The review will identify nutritional, behavioral, sensory, educational, and gamified interventions, as well as the resources and tools employed to support food acceptance and mealtime behaviors. The review will be conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology and reported following the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Evidence from quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods studies, reviews, and gray literature will be considered to provide a comprehensive overview of current practices and identify gaps for future research and the development of caregiver-support resources.
