Yinicoelotes jiafu Zhang, Zhu & Wang, 2017 as a junior synonym of Yinicoelotes galeiformis Wang, Yin, Peng & Xie, 1990 (Araneae, Agelendiae): evidence from DNA barcoding and sex association
The male of Coelotes galeiformis Wang, Yin, Peng & Xie, 1990 was recently described for the first time. This species was subsequently transferred to the newly established genus Yinicoelotes Wang, Irfan, Shi & Zhang, 2026, together with Draconarius jiafu Zhang, Zhu & Wang, 2017, which was previously known only from the male. Yinicoelotes jiafu (Zhang, Zhu & Wang, 2017) is proposed as a junior synonym of Yinicoelotes galeiformis (Wang, Yin, Peng & Xie, 1990) based on the correction of their sex association, while the male previously assigned to Y. galeiformis presents an unnamed species. Photos, diagnoses, and detailed descriptions are provided.
