Edukasi Tanaman Pangan dan Literasi Lingkungan Hidup pada SDN Poncogati 1 Bondowoso

Environmental awareness among children is important for building sustainable community habits from an early age. This community service program was carried out at SDN Poncogati 1, Poncogati Village, Curahdami Subdistrict, Bondowoso Regency, by six university students, targeting fourth-grade students. It ran for four weeks, consisting of one week of coordination and permission, followed by three sessions with students on 4, 11, and 18 September 2026. The sessions covered environmental cleanliness and the 3R principles, an introduction to food crops with hands-on cassava planting, and a community clean-up, with all activities documented as an educational video. Students' knowledge was measured with an oral pre-test in the first session and a 15-item written post-test in the last session. Because the two tests differ in format and scoring unit, the results are reported descriptively and are not interpreted as an increase. The oral pre-test showed that 8 of 20 students (40.00%) could answer, while the written post-test yielded 282 correct answers out of 300 (94.00%; mean score 14.1 out of 15)
