Pengaruh Topografi Lahan terhadap Produktivitas Pemanen di Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit

This study examines the effect of land topography on the productivity of oil palm harvesters at PT Salim Ivomas Pratama. The method used in this study is a quantitative comparative approach, to compare productivity across different topographies. This study analyzes the performance of 90 harvesters divided into two types of topography (flat and hilly) using purposive sampling.Other variables such as the age of the harvesters, work experience, crop variety, and harvesting infrastructure were included in the regression model as control variables to avoid estimation bias and ensure that the effect of topography on productivity could be analyzed more accurately.Data analysis was conducted using the chi-square test to determine differences in productivity between the two topographies and multiple linear regression to identify the determinants of harvest yield. The results of the study demonstrate that hilly terrain significantly reduces harvester productivity due to the difficult and physically demanding terrain. In addition to topographic factors, productivity also decreases with the increasing age of harvesters, plant age, and tree height.Conversely, the use of high-yielding plant varieties and the availability of good harvesting infrastructure were found to increase harvester productivity.Meanwhile, work experience does not have a significant effect on productivity.
