Nurim functions in aging in the cell.

We used proteomics to discover novel interaction partners of the protein encoded by the NRM gene, Nurim. Nurim interacted with SUN1 and SUN2, which was a LMNA-binding partner. Nurim connects proteins of the inner nuclear membrane intrinsically linked with cellular age to the nuclear lamina.

Abstract

We used proteomics to discover novel interaction partners of the protein encoded by the NRM gene, Nurim. Nurim interacted with SUN1 and SUN2, which was a LMNA-binding partner. Nurim connects proteins of the inner nuclear membrane intrinsically linked with cellular age to the nuclear lamina.
