Inteligencia artificial en enfermería: Percepción de los estudiantes sobre sus beneficios, riesgos y utilidad para la práctica profesional. Búsqueda narrativa
This article analyzes nursing students' perceptions regarding the benefits, risks, and utility of artificial intelligence (AI) in their academic training and future professional practice. Through a narrative review of scientific literature published between 2020 and August 2026, the study examines AI's educational and clinical applications. The results reveal a generally favorable perception of AI, driven by its speed, accessibility, and ability to simplify complex concepts, summarize information, and facilitate autonomous learning. Furthermore, these tools can support clinical reasoning, case development, and the preparation of academic activities. However, risks are identified regarding incorrect information, algorithmic bias, privacy, academic integrity, technological dependence, and a potential decline in critical thinking. These concerns highlight the need to develop the digital, ethical, and professional competencies required to use these tools responsibly. The study concludes that the integration of AI into nursing must be planned, supervised, and person-centered. It is essential to verify information, protect data, and preserve clinical judgment, ensuring that technology complements but never replaces humanized care and the professional responsibility of nursing staff.
