METODOLOGÍA EXPERIMENTAL PARA LA VALIDACIÓN DE LA ESTIMACIÓN DE LA RESISTENCIA A COMPRESIÓN MEDIANTE ESCLEROMETRÍA UTILIZANDO CUBOS EXTRAÍDOS DE VIGAS DE CONCRETO

In this study, an experimental methodology was developed to validate the estimation of concrete compressive strength using the rebound hammer test, based on concrete cubes extracted from previously evaluated concrete beams. The rebound hammer was verified using a calibration anvil, showing stable performance. Subsequently, tests were conducted on four beams, and cubes were extracted from the same areas that had been evaluated. The results showed a positive relationship between the rebound index and compressive strength, yielding an average strength of 294.3025 kg/cm², which was very close to the design strength of 300 kg/cm². Likewise, the quadratic model presented a coefficient of determination of R² = 0.892. It is concluded that calibrating the rebound hammer and comparing its results with direct strength tests can improve the reliability of the estimation.
