The Role of the School Principal in Human Resource Management to Support Children’s Learning Services at TK Perkasa
The quality of early childhood education services is strongly influenced by the school principal’s ability to manage human resources effectively. Teachers, as the main resource in the learning process, require ongoing management, coaching, motivation, and supervision. This study aims to analyze the role of the school principal in human resource management to support children’s learning services at TK Perkasa, Kedawung District, Sragen Regency. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation with the principal and teachers as informants. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the principal plays a role in human resource planning and organizing, assigning tasks according to competence, providing motivation and coaching, developing teacher competence, conducting supervision, and evaluating performance. This management supports improvements in teacher readiness, teamwork, responsibility, and the implementation of child-centered learning. However, further strengthening is still needed in learning reflection, authentic assessment, and variation in learning media. Human resource management through planned principal leadership, coaching, supervision, and evaluation can support improved children’s learning services. Continuous professional development needs to be strengthened to keep improving the quality of services on an ongoing basis.
