Weak measurement applications for quantum computing
Weak measurement is ordinary quantum instrument - gentle coupling to meter, then projective readout: no computational power added, but engineering: continuous syndrome monitoring, feedback, gate diagnostics, adaptive preparation, heralded reversal. Least-disturbing instrument keeps coherence √(1-η²), information per lost coherence 1/ln2. Continuous bit-flip memory: Bayesian (Wonham) filter decides in 4-5τ, breaks even with discrete rounds of 8-25τ, efficiency ε stretches latency ~1/ε. For two-way quantum computing: sealed weak record before late random ending - ordinary QM and additive rule predict exactly zero, product weights contrast ∝η; runnable IBM kits (N25w, N25s sealed sequential Bell sharing), 95% reach 2.25e-4 on full processor tree.
