ChronoMap: A Map-Based Planning Approach for Linear Infrastructure Projects
ChronoMap is a map-based planning approach in which each activity of the project schedule is linked to its physical segment on the real site layout, and a single timeline plays the schedule on that map, day by day. This working paper defines the approach through four layers (schedule, geometry, clock and comparison), positions it against Line of Balance, 4D BIM and digital twins, and describes applications on an urban stormwater drainage programme and a dam project.
