A Review Next Generation Universal Electronic Security System for Proof Box

The increasing need to protect sensitive proof, evidence, and valuable materials has created a demand for secure, intelligent, and remotely monitored storage systems. Conventional boxes and mechanical locks may not provide reliable user authentication, access history, or remote awareness of unauthorized attempts. This paper proposes a Next Generation Electronic Security System for Proof Box that integrates an ESP32 microcontroller, R307S fingerprint sensor, RC522 RFID reader, solenoid locking mechanism, reed switch for open/close detection, buzzer, OLED display, Wi-Fi connectivity, Firebase Real time Database, and Firebase Cloud Messaging. The system verifies an authorized user using biometric or RFID credentials, controls the electronic lock, detects the physical open/close state of the box, and records access events with user identification, action, date, and time. Cloud-based records provide a centralized audit trail, while mobile notifications can alert the authorized owner to important events such as unauthorized access attempts, box opening, and box closing. The design also considers operation during temporary internet unavailability by allowing local authentication and event storage for later synchronization. The proposed architecture aims to improve accountability, traceability, and remote monitoring of protected proof or evidence storage while remaining modular and suitable for low-cost embedded implementation.
