Formulasi dan Evaluasi Aktivitas Antioksidan Face mist Ekstrak Daun Mangga Arumanis (Mangifera indica L.) Berpotensi Pengembangan Produk Anti-aging
Premature skin aging is largely triggered by oxidative stress resulting from the accumulation of free radicals. Arumanis mango leaves (Mangifera indica L.) are known to contain bioactive antioxidant compounds such as flavonoids, phenolics, and mangiferin whose utilization as cosmetic active ingredients remains suboptimal. This study aimed to formulate a stable Face mist using Arumanis mango leaf extract and to evaluate its physical characteristics and antioxidant activity across various extract concentrations (F0-F3). Extraction was performed using the 96% ethanol maceration method. Evaluations included phytochemical screening, organoleptic properties, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, specific gravity, spray pattern, stability (freeze-thaw cycling), irritation potential, consumer preference, and DPPH antioxidant activity (IC50). The results demonstrated that all formulas exhibited good physical stability without causing irritation. Antioxidant activity increased with higher extract concentrations, yielding IC50 values of 127.401 µg/mL (F0), 52.170 µg/mL (F1), 74.496 µg/mL (F2), and 18.415µg/mL (F3). Formula F3 exhibited the strongest antioxidant activity and met all evaluation parameters, indicating its potential for development as a natural-based anti-aging Face mist
