Bridging EquilibriUX and Social Justice to Promote Equitable Technical and Professional Communication Curricula for the 21st Century
This case study evaluates the social justice potential of equilibriUX, or design methods that center diverse user experiences to promote balance, in revising a technical and professional communication service course curriculum amidst the shifting 21st century sociopolitical and technological landscape. I applied equilibriUX curricular review with diverse stakeholders across four stages and used deductive coding to evaluate its social justice potential. I ultimately frame and model social justice as a connective bridge across equilibriUX stages.
