COLOR AS A SYMBOL OF WOMEN'S INTERPRETATION IN THE CREATION OF PAINTING IN BATU 8 STUDIO

The interpretation of color towards women is a topic raised in MBKM's independent project at Batu 8 Studio. Making color the main visual language in the creation of paintings is the background for the selection of this topic. Color as one of the elements in art, especially painting, has its own meaning and can also be a symbol of certain emotions. So a problem formulation was formed, how color was used as a symbol of women's interpretation in the creation of paintings. The purpose of this independent project is to be able to find out the potential of color as a symbol that is able to hint at the existence of women's self-existence in relation to their social strata and classification. The final output of this independent project is six paintings that make women the main subjects with color as their main visual language.
