Studi Eksperimental Getaran Mesin Bubut Celtic 14 Berdasarkan Variasi Kecepatan Putar dan Kedalaman Pemotongan

This study aims to analyze the effect of spindle rotation variations and feeding depth on vibration in Celtic 14 lathes. The study used an experimental method with three rotation variations, namely 290 rpm, 460 rpm, and 515 rpm, as well as feeding depths of 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm, and 1.5 mm. Vibration measurement was carried out using a vibration meter in the vertical and horizontal directions. Each combination of parameters was carried out three times for 5 seconds and then the average value was calculated. The results showed the highest vertical vibration of 5.03 mm/s at 515 rpm and a depth of 1.0 mm, while the highest horizontal vibration was 4.20 mm/s at 515 rpm and a depth of 1.5 mm. The lowest values are 0.40 mm/s in the vertical direction at 290 rpm and 0.5 mm and 0.23 mm/s in the horizontal direction at 460 rpm and 0.5 mm, respectively. Based on the ISO 10816 classification, the maximum vertical values include zone C and horizontal zone B. High rotation tends to increase vibration, while small depth results in more stable turning.
