PENGARUH INDUKSI KESELAMATAN TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN PEKERJA PADA PROYEK X DI KABUPATEN TANGERANG TAHUN 2026

The construction sector is characterized by a high risk of workplace accidents, necessitating various preventive measures—including enhancing workers' knowledge through safety inductions. This study aims to determine the impact of safety induction on the knowledge of new workers at Project X in Tangerang Regency. This is a quantitative study employing a pre-experimental, one-group pre-test/post-test design. The population consisted of 200 individuals, with a sample size of 30 respondents. The intervention involved a safety induction session delivered via a lecture method, supported by a booklet. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis, specifically the paired-sample t-test. The results indicate an increase in the workers' mean knowledge score from 60.07 to 80.57. The paired-sample t-test yielded a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), confirming that the safety induction significantly influences workers' knowledge. It is recommended that contractors utilize booklets as supporting material during safety inductions and conduct periodic evaluations of the induction process using safety induction checklists or pre-test and post-test assessments.
