A Rare Constellation of Omphalocele, Myelomeningocele, and Encephalocele in a Neonate Born to a Mother With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: A Case Report
ABSTRACT Pre‐gestational diabetes with reported poor glycemic control may be associated with rare and severe multiple congenital anomalies, such as omphalocele and multiple concurrent neural tube defects (NTDs). Early antenatal screening, strict maternal glycemic control, and multidisciplinary neonatal management are crucial to improving outcomes.
